In an amusing and entertaining manner, Society of St Paul, Fr Mario, spoke about the joy of the Gospel to guests and friends of the Pauline Family at the Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation, Tsuen Wan. He had entitled his Talk as GOD ENABLES THOSE HE CALLS. He said our Pope Francis is the perfect example of this truth. The motto of the Pope is MISERANDO ATQUE ELIGENDO, meaning, he chose me and showered mercy on me. He then explained through a power point presentation the first document of the Pope, THE JOY OF THE GOSPEL. Fr Mario also taught the assembly the ABC of Mercy. A is to always ASK for Mercy, B is to BE merciful and C is to have COMPLETE CONFIDENCE in the Mercy of God.
Why did Fr Mario come all the way from the Philippines to present his Talk?
Society of St Paul, Father Edgar introduced Fr Mario as a very charismatic and acclaimed speaker and host on the Sunday TV Mass in Manila.
His Talk was to prepare the Pauline Family and friends spiritually to enter into the spirit of this Pauline charism. He gave one Talk in Hong Kong on Feb 22, and another Talk in Macau on Feb 23.
Daughter of St Paul, Sr Grace Lee, explained to the assembly who the Pauline Family is.
Blessed James Alberione founded 10 institutes, of which five are religious congregations, three are secular institutes, one for the married couples and one for lay men and women. Five of these institutes are present here in Hong Kong and Macau.
Two members of the Society of St Paul are in Macau. Five Daughters of St Paul work in Hong Kong and three in Macau. The Pious Disciples of the Divine Master are only three in Hong Kong. There are three members of the secular institute, Our Lady of the Annunciation (IOLA) in Macau and two in Hong Kong, and then 12 members of the Association of Pauline Cooperators (APC) in Hong Kong and Macau.
