Just before Christmas, the Pauline Cooperators organised a Christmas evangelization programme at the Home of Love. The Home of Love is located in Sham Shui Po District and was established by the Missionaries of Charity in early 1990. The Home mainly provides free accommodation and meals to street sleepers and homeless people. The Missionaries of Charity was founded at Calcutta by Mother Teresa and the Sisters came to Hong Kong in 1983.

Our evangelization programme took place on 8th December and about 30 women and children participated. We hoped to help them feel the love and joy Christmas brings and pass onto them the Good News. Our programme included telling the story of the birth of Jesus Christ, singing Christmas carols, performing Cantonese opera, playing prize-winning games and seeing a short film about giving and fulfilling another person. There was a lot of fun and laughter. Our programme ended amidst sharing of refreshment and giving out gifts. We hoped that each participant would go home feeling the blessing and joy of Christmas.
