PRAYER INTENTION for NOVEMBER

DAILY WORD of BLESSED JAMES ALBERIONE 2021

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of our founder, Blessed James Alberione, we will reflect on his words and use them as our daily guide.

The apostle of the press must resolve, in his writings, to have the same goal that God had in writing the Holy Book: the glory of God and the salvation of souls (AE, 161).

A wonderful adornment in an editorial office is a picture of the Evangelists; the best sign and object of veneration is the Gospel opened at the words: «The seed is the Word of God», the most precious reference book is a Bible with an extensive commentary by the Fathers and Doctors of the Church (AE,163).

The dissemination, particularly in this biblical year, is very extensive. We must thank the Lord who has put so much zeal in you. We must tell the Lord that He sends the Holy Spirit and makes us comprehend the Bible in the way the Spirit intended when He dictated the Scripture (FSP61*, p. 289).

The sign by which we can be recognized if we really have love, is this: to be inclined to think of what is good, to deduce well and even to excuse mistakes (APD56, 149).

Let us not always expect an environment where there are no sacrifices, where everyone is fully in agreement with our thoughts, our wishes; and let us not pretend to make others always bend to us (FSP-SdC, p. 233).

The Pauline Family intends to represent and live St. Paul today;contemplating, striving, praying, and sanctifying themselves as St. Paul would do if he lived today (ACV, p. 62)

In a disciplined family, there are responsibilities and, if everyone does his part well, family life is sanctified, and altogether there is progress in love of the Lord, in mutual love and therefore in holiness (AP 1961, p. 332).

Overflowing with love, endowed with the right intention, strengthened by prayer, and steeped in Scripture, the apostle will be able to take up his editorial task confident that his writings, like the Holy Book, will succeed in being light, guide and support for people; or, in other words, be for them, way, truth and life (AE, 167).

Grafting into Christ: the head, the heart, the mind, the activities, the works, the whole apostolate. (FSP-SdC, p. 297).

Publications are to be pastoral. Pastoral because they are prepared by apostolic-minded people, pastoral in appearance, pastoral in the choice of notes, and insofar as possible, in their low cost; pastoral in that they are addressed to all people (AE, 183).

The Bible is therefore the book par excellence. The book that has exercised the greatest influence on humanity; an influence that is by far superior to that exercised by peoples and religions. It permeates our civilization; in it, art and literature find their inspiration (AE, 170).

As we begin the ceremony of Consecration, it is useful to remember which relics are placed at the altar. First of all, a relic of St. James the Greater, Apostle. Then three martyrs: St. Ignatius of Antioch, St. Thecla, St. Timothy ... a relic of St.Pius X. These relics admonish us: «Love the church, respect the church, help the church» (RSP, p. 525).

To put the disagreements, the criticism, the slander, to find everything done badly what others do, everything arranged badly what is arranged and too little or too imperfect what others do ... It is nothing more than working to put others down to raise the ego (APD56, 291).

The humility of thought, the humility of words, the humility of attitude, the humility towards one’s brothers, the humility of heart (RSP, p. 322).

God is love; and one who promotes the spirit of love and unity is from God and fulfils the works of God. The spirit of division is not of God (CISP, p. 30).

Through meditation, the writer’s soul will gradually acquire such perceptive and marvellous knowledge of the adorable word of God that he will unconsciously instil it into his writings (AE, 163).

The model of the new person is Jesus Christ: to live according to Jesus Christ, who was made human again according to the model of God... All the more so if one wants to live the consecration to the Lord, one must have the thoughts and feelings of Jesus Christ: to remake oneself! (AP 1960, p. 300).

St. Paul, our father, model, patron, teacher, and advocate, will in his church have us all each morning, each day around him, and will communicate to us the spirit of the Divine Master because the heart of St. Paul is the heart of Christ (APim, p. 35).

Dear Fr. Alberione, let the Pope enjoy the long, faithful and tireless labour and the fruits produced by it for the glory of God and for the good of the Church; let your children enjoy with us and let them express to you today, as perhaps never before, their affection and their promise to persevere in the work you have undertaken (St Paul VI, CISP, p. 553).

Think according to God, according to Jesus Christ: here is the soul of every mentality (ACV, p. 66).

Constant optimism, resting on the divine Providence, which, calling us to holiness, always provides means, opportunities, trials, consolations, wisdom, and love (ACV, p. 215).

The maximum «bonum sociale» is union. Jesus Master in his«oratio sacerdotalis» made this request: first for the apostles;then three times he repeated the prayer «that they may be one» for those who would believe the apostles (CISP, p. 161).

Divine Master, we implore you that all human beings may be united in faith, in a common hope, and in charity. Exalt the Church, assist the Pope, sanctify the priests, and the souls consecrated to you. Lord Jesus, may we have the same desire as you: that there be only one flock under one shepherd, so that we can all be reunited in the Church triumphant in heaven (Prayers of the PF).

The editor has frequent correspondence with readers both either through the newspaper’s pages or privately. He is tomake his own, their wishes and needs. Readers are to experience his paternal affection as well as his vibrant and encouraging help (AE, 298).

The human being is created by God for happiness, human beings achieve their goal only if they seek God and become more like him. In a word, if they become holy. «This is the will of God, your sanctification» (AE, 269).

That’s how the apostles are prepared. This is how true holiness is achieved. The divine Master, having become a child, gives us a very strong lesson. A lesson for those who govern, for those who have authority: for authority is service, and «let him who rules among you become as he who serves» (RSP, p. 321).

In paradise all together we will make the «Pauline Family»,which can no longer be separated and cannot be separated by death, nor for any other reason. Let us live now as anticipation of paradise: as we love the saints in Heaven, so let us love one another on earth (RSP, p. 186).

You in Paradise, will pray for the honour of Eucharistic Jesus, for the Priests, for the Sisters. You will pray to the Divine Master so that his desire may be fulfilled; so that all men shall know, follow, and love him (APD47, 105).

The human heart is made to love: the religious state and the priestly state do not take away this sentimental side of nature but enlarge it, elevate it, supernaturalize it (ACV, p. 240).

There is one truth for all. But then there is a sole human nature, but what a difference between one person and another! No two persons are perfectly equal. Thus, it is of the souls. All of us are created in God’s image and likeness ... but each one of us has tendencies and particular needs which vary according to age and circumstance (AE, 391).
