DAILY WORD of BLESSED JAMES ALBERIONE 2025
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of our founder, Blessed James Alberione, we will reflect on his words and use them as our daily guide.
The Holy Madonna was her first flower, but her flower bore her fruit, Jesus: “Blessed is the fruit of your womb,” Jesus. Behold, I await fruits from you (FSP31*, 115).
Mary enters into the exercise of her queenship at Paradise, and she will exercise it in every century, until the end of the world. She is great to be able to give us every grace; she is queen: “Queen of mercy,” “Mater misericordiæ”; she is our hope (RSP 463).
The month of May always inspires us with great confidence, with great hope in the graces of our heavenly Mother. It is like an extended visit that she makes to her families like the visit she made to the house of St. Elizabeth (APD57, 234).
May the holy rosary of the Madonna obtain for us the grace to know well the truths of faith, to progress in knowledge, to know our Lord Jesus Christ (FSP32*, 298).
If you despair of everything, if you see yourself weak before the power of hell, if everywhere there is obstinacy, if even the sky seems closed to your groans... nothing is lost, the last but sure hope remains: Mary, our Mother (Maria Regina degli Apostoli, p. 216).
When the heart is afflicted, when the mind is troubled, when temptation assails us, when we are almost lost, as if we can no longer find the right path and it almost seems as if even the sky has darkened, then we call Mary. And let us hope (RSP 266).
In what, first of all, one should make a little progress every day? In faith. Because, if afterwards one believes deeply, one hopes in the mercy of God, in that Paradise that the Lord has prepared for us (APD63, 4).
Whoever has devotion to Mary will receive Jesus in Communion with fervour, will have devotion to the Holy Mass, will do the Visit well (FSP30*, 76).
Mary in heaven does not forget her children and therefore we say to her with a lot of love: Hail, Queen, Mater Misericordiae: mother of mercy and our hope (APD57, 287).
Blessed are you if the last word that comes out of your lips is precisely: “Mary, my hope.” Mary, our consolation, our strength and our assurance (APD61, 178).
Is there hope within us? The hope of Mary’s intercession, the hope through prayers, particularly the rosary? Is there this hope that Mary is omnipotent before God? Almighty according to God’s will? Is there this hope? (APD65, 552).
The marrow, the backbone of the rosary is that through Mary we find Jesus (FSP31*, 189).
The only necessary knowledge is religion, well, the apostolate of the press can make it known and reach everyone, because it extends to everyone (FSP31*, 102).
The apostle soul would like to multiply herself, she would like to reach everyone. And how will she multiply? By means of the machine that multiplies the sheets on which those truths that lead to heaven are printed (FSP31*, 100).
Among all the apostolates we must seek that which has the widest reach so that the soul can rise to great aspirations; the heart must be more like the heart of Jesus and become expansive, similar to his (FSP31*, 101).
One who has an interior life does as the holy Madonna did: she speaks little, reflects a lot. In the retreat she examines the whole month, in the Spiritual Exercises she compares [the work of the year], as well as every week (FSP32*, 280).
The soul that wants to offer itself to the apostolate must be holy. One can be a saint in various degrees. The more holy the soul, the better it will do, the more prepared it is to become an apostle (FSP31*, 105).
The apostolate of the press must preach the same truths preached by Jesus Christ: first of all it must preach the Creed... Secondly it teaches the Commandments, that is, Christian morality... Thirdly, the object of the Apostolate press are the means of grace, namely: the Sacraments, the sacramentals, the liturgy in general (FSP31*, 103).
Christian hope is made up of two parts, namely: first, the trust of reaching heaven with the grace of God; and second, doing good, good works, which are like a part of hope and that is, they indicate that hope is active (APD56, 433).
Our apostolate is to spread the Bible. You have already done a lot, but it is just the beginning: the Bible must enter every family. Pope Paul VI, writing to me, told me: “Let the Bible be spread in every family!” (Esercizispirituali. Predichetenute alle maestre 1966, p. 41).
The Madonna presented Jesus in Elizabeth’s house and sanctified the precursor John in her mother’s womb, she brought the Holy Spirit there through which St. Elizabeth prophesied (FSP31*, 188)
The silent souls, says Jesus, hear my words and I will speak to their hearts. They understand and allow themselves to be won over by the attraction that the divine Heart has, they allow themselves to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and especially with love, fervour and piety (FSP31*, 91).
Humanity has always, from the beginning until the end of the world, looked and will look at Mary. As soon as our ancestors stained themselves with sin, the Lord made hope shine: Mary (RSP 533).
Try to understand the words of Jesus: “I am the Good Shepherd, who lays down his life for the sheep” (Jn 10:11), and tell Jesus that you want to live with his thoughts and his desires (Prediche alle Suore Pastorelle, VII, 39s).
Mary is the Apostle of all times. She appeared as the hope of humanity in the earthly Paradise, when God announced her as the Woman, Mother of a great Son, the Savior (Maria Regina degli Apostoli, p. 222).
Mary has become the hope of everyone: of the sinner, of the sick, of the just, of the poor, of the shipwrecked: of everyone (Maria Regina degli Apostoli, p. 44).
Mary is the sower of happiness and holy joy. Her voice inebriates with sweetness; her grace instils hope; in heaven she speaks to God of her children (GM 146).
Let us therefore hope in Mary: in every difficulty we turn to her, as the best of mothers, we will receive every good from her hands and we will learn to give continuous thanks to the Lord our God in her and through her (GM 83-84).
Only with Mary can a founder conceive and start an institution; such a sum of graces is needed that only in her can one hope that what in itself is arduous and impossible will be easy (Maria Regina degliApostoli, p. 243).
The rosary increases our faith, opens our intelligence with the graces it obtains from the Holy Virgin. Most Holy Mary deigned one day to show a special light, which she wanted to remember the fire of the Holy Spirit, the sacred fire of Pentecost (FSP32*, 298).
Mary, those who are your true devotees are never lost, nor has it ever been heard that those who have turned to you have not been answered. I therefore hope for everything from you, I entrust myself to you, I give myself to you (Preghiere, p. 277).
