DAILY WORD of BLESSED JAMES ALBERIONE 2025

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of our founder, Blessed James Alberione, we will reflect on his words and use them as our daily guide.

PRAYER INTENTION for MARCH

There are many men who are faithful, who love the Lord, who believe with living faith, who hope for Paradise and who live working for Paradise (AP 1957, 22).

Trust and hope of obtaining a deeper love for Jesus Christ, for the Gospel, for the Church; hope of obtaining true zeal for the glory of God and for souls (Anima e corpo per il Vangelo, p. 101).

I want to follow you, Jesus; I hope in you, I hope for Paradise, your grace to do good, for good works and thus deserve Paradise; I conform my will to yours, doing what I can, hoping everything from you” (APD59, 170).

We thank you, Lord, Holy Father, almighty and eternal God. In Christ your Son, our Savior, the hope of the blessed resurrection shines upon us (Anima e corpo per il Vangelo, p. 230).

Do penance, especially during Lent, without damaging your health, but repentance that comes from love. “Her many sins are forgiven because she loved much” (Lk 7:47). Perfect love (APD62, 44).

There is need to have a great esteem for silence that is the hallmark of the life of the saints. It is difficult for the loose-tongued person to become a saint (FSP31*, 89).

Devotion to St. Joseph leads to solidity of virtue, to interior life and men devoted to St. Joseph are faithful (FSP32*, 287).

How beautiful it is to see a painting that represents the Madonna teaching Jesus to read the Scriptures, and to see the young man docile and attentive! (FSP31*, 223).

If those who have a thousand thoughts and worries, have a thousand annoyances and worries about this short life... about food, clothing, the health of one’s body. And does one also think about one’s soul and death? When the Church places the sacred ashes on one’s head she says “Remember, man, that you are dust...” The Holy Spirit warns us: “Remember your end.” (FSP33**, 277).

Revive our faith in Paradise, our hope in Paradise, the desire to constantly work for Paradise (RSP 40).

The soul that loves the Madonna seeks spiritual things. We must ask the Madonna to give us faith, the living desire for paradise, to make us understand the value of suffering, how useful it is to consecrate ourselves to the Lord (FSP31*, 263).

The way to sanctify Lent much better: in charity. May we increase our love for God, but may there also be mutual charity among you (Alle Suore di Gesù Buon Pastore 1967, 346).

The Tabernacle. Who lives in that little house made of wood or marble so silently? Our Divine Master; our Redeemer; the wisest, the most knowledgeable, the one who communicates knowledge to every man, who governs everything (FSP31*, 91).

Jesus and Mary lived recollected and silent. When Jesus wanted to speak to the Apostles, he led them to a deserted place, so when he wants to call a soul to himself he leads it to a deserted place, that is, into solitude and silence (FSP31*, 89).

One who has an interior life is strong on the occasion, he does not allow himself to be enticed, accepts any obedience, he is patient... [These souls] progress, obtain from God, are simple, upright (FSP32*, 281).

Silence is a great means of sanctification, but it is not easy to know how to stick to silence. Silence must be esteemed, because when a soul knows how to be silent ... then God speaks, and it becomes capable of listening to him. You will never find a saint who is a chatterbox (FSP31*, 89-90).

May our crying not be a crying of anger, of wrath: let it be a crying of confusion, of humiliation; but, at the same time, full of hope, like that of Magdalene, like that of Peter: a cry that reconciles us, a cry that consoles us (RSP 177).

The most blessed fate of Joseph is that he saw Jesus grow under his eyes and kept him and protected him! After death, the saints have the fortune of embracing Jesus, but Joseph had this most blessed fate from the earth (FSP32*, 288).

Jesus is presented at the temple by Mary and Joseph; Jesus leaves the borders of Palestine and Joseph is with him to defend him; he returns to Nazareth and Joseph takes care of him (FSP32*, 288).

The work of Jesus was very simple: carpenter... But what was special about Him then? The spirit, the love, that love for which Jesus did all the work, that is, for the love of the Father. The whole life of Jesus lies in the utmost love and obedience (FSP30*, 62-63).

How much wisdom, how much love possess certain meditative souls who know how to remain silent and listen to the inspirations of Jesus, his words that come from the Tabernacle! (FSP31*, 94).

And how was the life of the saints? What tranquility, what serenity, what hope of eternal happiness up there, where one sees God, possesses God, and enjoys God! (APD65, 725).

Most holy Virgin of graces, you were greeted by the Archangel Gabriel full of grace, you were chosen by God to be the dispenser of all heavenly favours, you are the hope, the refuge, the comfort of your children (Preghiere, p. 276).

The finding of Jesus. Mary, after asking him: “Son, why have you done this to us?” no longer spoke, but pondered the words heard from the Son in her heart, as in a sanctuary, meditating on them lovingly (FSP31*, 92).

Hope is cultivated with prayer. Recite the Act of Hope well! ... Let us exercise well in hope. Let us hope for Paradise and the graces necessary to go to Paradise (AP 1957, 266).

Sin destroys charity, makes the hope of Paradise languish, causes one to lose faith and the gifts of the Holy Spirit; it causes one to lose peace and joy (FSP31*, 235).

The Lord calls you not only to avoid serious sin, but also to flee venial sin and voluntary imperfections; he calls you not to achieve ordinary sanctity... He has chosen for himself a crowd of souls, who he wants closer to him, who understand and love him (FSP31*, 229).

Pay attention to meditation... What thoughts and feelings do it put in one’s heart? The silent soul writes everything down, returns to it in prayers; she thinks about it in the Visit to penetrate it; remembers the purpose and renews it, transforming all this into many acts of love (FSP31*, 93).

Whoever loves Jesus understands his words. St. John, who loved Jesus, heard his words, placing his head on his adorable chest to feel his heartbeats (FSP31*, 268).

What are you looking for? The things of earth or of heaven? The things of Paradise or the world? Flatteries, the love of men or of God? Are you looking for God who could be happy of you? Are you holy inside or just elegant on the outside?... Are you pleasing to men or to God? (FSP31*, 265).

A lot of interior work and that is, to be souls who examine their conscience, souls who dominate and guide the heart and affections; souls who love Jesus warmly with a pure heart, in a word, reflective souls (FSP31*, 95).
