St. Joseph Catholic Primary School

“Quilling a Rosary”

On October 10, 2019, at the invitation of Ms Chen of St. Joseph Catholic Primary School in Jordan Valley, the APCs organized a paper quilling activity for more than 30 Young Pioneers Of Christ to celebrate the month of the Rosary.  We were grateful to our guest and instructor, Ka Bo, for helping us with this activity.  Besides Chum, Mrs Lui and myself, Sr Yan Yan and Sr Maria Chan also came along.

In addition to teaching the Young Pioneers quilling, we also made use of the opportunity to introduce to them the Daughters of St. Paul, the Pauline Cooperators and books published by Wisdom Press such as “Children’s Rosary” and “The World of Sr Yan Yan”.

Under Ka Bo’s instruction, the Young Pioneers rolled and shaped the paper strips into beads and glued them together to make a rosary.  We dedicated the rosaries to Mother Mary and concluded the activity by praying the rosary.
