We feel very blessed to be members of the Association of Pauline Cooperators (APC). It gives us the opportunity to play a small part in supporting the Daughters of St Paul’s mission of spreading the Good News via the media. We feel that in the world around us, there is much unhappiness and suffering arising from human weakness. People are constantly being tempted by what they see in wealth and power.
Affluent people tend to keep themselves in their comfort zone and tend to be indifferent to the world around them. They seem to be lost in their world of physical pleasure and self-indulgence and are lost in their way of finding the true meaning of life.
The underprivileged people tend to feel depressed, hopeless and unhappy with their misfortune and feel sorry for their state of being. They often forget what the most important things in life are too, which ironically enough, are free and cannot be bought with any wealth or power. That is perhaps why the feeling of being lost, being in fear, being uncertain, lacking trust and lacking the feeling of being loved comes to both the affluent and the underprivileged alike.
We hope that by helping to spread the Good News, more people will be led to follow the way of the Lord so that people can find strength, wisdom and peace of mind to overcome the burdens of everyday life. We hope that we could help people find abundance of wealth in the simple things in life …. rain, sunshine, wind, blossoming flowers, laughter, friendship, family…. which are all wonderful gifts of God.
We should learn to love ourselves as we love our neighbours, we should put our trust in God and follow his footsteps to find the true meaning of life on earth and to have hope in the salvation of eternal life. After all, what is life without Love, Faith and Hope.
