THREE LAY PERSONS JOINED THE PAULINE COOPERATORS

The Association of the Pauline Cooperators will be registered as a Catholic lay organisation in the Diocese of Hong Kong.  The APC welcomes anyone interested in spreading the Good News to join them.

The Pauline Cooperators help the Daughters of St Paul in their church and school book displays.  Starting from last year, the Cooperators also visit schools to promote religious vocations.  For more information, please contact Sister Gesuina Seo at 6439 6929.

Father Kim Tung Zhou, parish priest of St Jude’s Church, presided at the celebration that evening in the Shatin convent of the Daughters of St Paul.  In his homily, Father Kim reminded the assembly that St Peter and St Paul were the two pillars of the Church and examples of faith and martyrdom.  Though St Paul had never seen Christ, he fervently brought the message of Christ to the world.  Father Kim encouraged the APCs to be partners with Christ and follow their patron saint’s example to spread the Good News.  He also commended the Daughters of St Paul’s good work of organizing church book displays and looking after the spiritual needs of fellow Catholics.

After the Eucharistic Celebration, in the presence of Father Kim, Sr Ida Porrino, Regional Superior of the East Asia Delegation and the assembly, the 3 new Pauline Cooperators, Chum Hon Sun and his wife, Tina, and Ivy Cheung made their Promise of:

"Making use of mass communication tools to proclaim the Good News wholeheartedly, to sanctify ourselves and our brothers and sisters, and bring Christ to all mankind."

Three lay persons made their commitment to the Association of the Pauline Cooperators (APC) at the celebration of the feast of St Paul on June 30, 2014.  More than 40 friends of the Pauline Family attended the celebration and witnessed their Promise.
